We are known as The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation, serving mid-day meals to children in government and government-aided schools in India.
We work on the cause to eliminate classroom hunger altogether. As nutrition is an essential requirement for growing children, Akshaya Patra is committed in serving nutritious, freshly cooked meals every day to children at schools. Which is turn is an incentive for education. The food we serve makes children come back to school, continue their education and concentrate better.
The need for support is vital to help Akshaya Patra in its mid-day meal programme and reach out to more children. Due to generous support for people like you, the organisation now caters to 1.5 million children across 24 locations in 10 states of India.
